Judy Earlene Howard

Judy Earlene Howard, age 78, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. Judy was born in Jackson County, Kentucky on July 15, 1946 to the late Elmo and Goldie Bell Linville. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Carol Jean and Ruth, cherished companion Dennis.  She was also preceded in death by the love of her life and husband, Roy Lee Howard, who she adored. Roy and Judy were married on January 26,1962; they shared a life filled with love and laughter.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Lee Howard (Debora) and daughter, Melissa Earlene Kramer (Chris), as well as her cherished grandchildren, Austin, Ethan, Grant, Peyton & Colby who affectionately called her “Granny.” Judy was also a proud great-grandma to Ella, Ryder & Jordan.

She will be remembered lovingly by her brothers Luke Linville and Gary Linville and sister Tina, her cousin Shirley and numerous other family members.

Judy worked many years as an independent sales representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics, Avon, Home Interiors and Home and Garden Party. She had a strong appreciation for the nuances of sales and negotiation. Her enjoyment of the sales transaction process and business savvy contributed to her success.

Judy also had a vibrant passion for county music. The connection between singing and attending live performances brought her immense joy. She even attended a local venue just a few weeks ago and sang. She said, “she did pretty good.” 

Judy's life was enriched by her strong friendships and passions, including cooking, attending girls' night gatherings, and playing cards. She was smart as a whip and determined.

She had a significant impact on those around her, leaving behind cherished memories and deep affection. Her unique qualities and love will undoubtedly be remembered by everyone who knew her. With her faith in Christ, she embraced the hope of eternal peace.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Newcomer Funerals & Receptions, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m.

She will be laid to eternal rest at River Hill Cemetery, Hwy. 1228, East Bernstadt, KY 40729 next to her husband, Roy Lee Howard, on January 29, 2025. Graveside service to begin at 2:00 p.m.
