Judith A. "Judy" Studley, 80, of Xenia, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at Soin Medical Center. She was born September 22, 1940, in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of Nelson and Betty (Loyd) Porter.
Judy loved to sing. She started singing as a very young child, and was a longtime member of her church choirs. As an artist, Judy created beautiful portraits, and recently took up the hobby of painting rocks. She enjoyed playing bridge and other card games. She especially liked to win the games. Judy was a graduate of the University of Dayton, and was a member of St. Brigid Church. She taught in the Xenia City School System, both as a teacher and a substitute teacher.
Judy is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Robert Joseph "R.J." Studley, whom she married December 18, 1971; Sisters and brother: Mike (Susan) Porter, Bradenton, FL, Jan (Fred) Plassman, Xenia, Mary Porter and Marcia Porter, Xenia; nieces and nephews: Beth FitzGibbons, Seattle, WA, John Goza, Seattle, WA, David (Ashley) Plassman, Anna (Brad) Beasley, and Steve (Sarah) Plassman, and Lisa Plassman. She was the beloved "Ju-Ju" to her great-nieces and great-nephews: Isabell Ayres, Gabby Ayres, Allyson Beasley, Nicholas Plassman, Leah Plassman, and Maxwell Plassman. She will be missed by her close friends Minnie Sturgeon, Dick and Pam Sams, cousins, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Robert Michael Studley. Judy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Graveside Services will be held in St. Brigid Cemetery in Xenia, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held later at the family's convenience.
In her memory and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Xenia Adult Recreation and Service Center.
