Judith L. Sirks, age 78 of Huber Heights, OH went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, 28 November 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Judy was born on 26 August 1944 in Lima, OH to Robert O. Donaldson Sr. of Bullhead City, AZ, and Barbara M. Griffin (Seiser) of Lima, OH.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Uncle David Seiser, and grandparents, William and Marguerite Seiser.
Judy is survived by her four children: Debra L. Sirks of Huber Heights, OH, Paul Christopher (Roberta) Sirks of Estill Springs, TN, Bambi L. Masters of Springfield, OH, and Dawn M. Sirks of Los Angeles, CA; and three cherished grandchildren: Charles A. Kolozsi of Los Angeles, CA, Chelsey N. Masters of Springfield, OH, and Shannon M. Masters of Vandalia, OH.
Judy found her love for figure roller skating at the age of five that further developed into becoming a competitive figure roller skater up through the time of graduating from Bath High School in Lima, OH. She also participated in multiple events throughout her skating career to include March of Dimes Benefit Shows.
While being a full-time mother was important to Judy, she was also a professional dog groomer for 20+ years, and a Regional Avon Representative for 29 years. She had a deep love for her cats, dogs - especially her parent's Great Danes who understood commands in American Sign Language and were often featured in the Marmaduke comic strips, and many animal rescues over the years with her foremost love being horses.
Judy was actively involved in the Equine Industry for 60+ years. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Morgan Horse Association. She was the Founder/President of the Buckeye All Breed Show Horse Association; however, Judy's deepest passion lay with Central States Horse Show Association (CSHSA) for over 35 years where she held several positions as officer/board member, and tracked points (aka "The Judy Book"). Judy was wickedly amazing at procuring thousands in donations, obtaining sponsorships, and prizes for the Annual CSHSA Fall Round Up for over two decades. She not only enjoyed watching, supporting, and encouraging her own children while competing but championed for others as well. For when you're together every weekend those competitors became friends that soon developed into family. Judy became mom to so many others…nobody was a stranger.
The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for/to the dedicated and caring staff of Wright-Patterson AFB Hospital for their wonderful support of mom to include Kindred Hospital.
A Celebration of Life for Judy will be held in the Spring of 2023 to allow out-of-town families to join us and help us celebrate the life of Judith L. Sirks. Further notification will be provided at a later date. We would love for you to join us to share any stories you have about our mother.
