SLICER, Judith Rae (nee Gilbert), 74, of Beavercreek, passed away Tuesday July 13, 2010 at Hospice of Dayton after her battle with cancer. She is the daughter of Paul Richard Gilbert and Marian Louise Pittenger. She was born in Lancaster, PA July12, 1936. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Chester H. Slicer; sons David H. (Bobbie Jo) Slicer and Dennis H. (Annette Irene) Slicer; daughter Donna Rae (Brian)Pierson; grandsons Jason Edward H., Brandon H., Christopher Byron, Joseph Charles Slicer, Wm. Drew, Robert Lee, and Brian James Robinson; granddaughters Leia Dawn Ramey, Heather Irene Clark, and Destiny Pierson; 3 great grandchildren; sisters Joan, Janice, Jill, and Dyan; brother Randy; numerous nieces, nephews, and other close family and friends, including Dwain and Patty Robinson. She was last employed in the Oxford Area School District as a secretary in High School. A former Girl Scout Leader for 11 years, and a Cub Scout Den Mother for 10 years. Also a member of The Scout Mothers Auxiliary. Judy was an avid cake decorator (making many cakes for local restaurants, family, and friends), knitter and crafter. She resided in Oxford for 43 years before moving to the mountains near Altoona, PA then later to Fairborn, Ohio. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
