Judith E. Sherwood, born on April 29, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, peacefully left this world on January 17, 2025. She was a remarkable individual whose life was marked by her simplicity, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.

In her younger years, Judith embarked on a career as a proofreader at Newsweek, demonstrating her keen eye for detail and her passion for the written word. Later, she worked at the local library, where her love for knowledge blossomed. Following her marriage, Judith embraced the role of a devoted homemaker, creating a nurturing environment filled with warmth and affection for her loved ones.

Judith had an infectious smile that brightened any room and a positive outlook that inspired everyone around her. Her interests included collecting dolls, a hobby that she cherished greatly and which reflected her gentle spirit. Most importantly, Judith found joy in spending time with her loving husband, Raymond, with whom she shared a beautiful partnership for 60 years.

Judith is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond, her cherished grandchildren: Jessica Bielefeld, Charles Bielefeld, Christina Sherwood, and Christopher Bielefeld, as well as her great-grandchildren: Emma Beason, Payton Gummere, Christian Williamson, and Landyn Williamson. She is also survived by her brother, Timothy (Kim) Glaze, along with many other family members and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Christina Glaze; her brother, Ralph "Sonny" Glaze; and her daughter, Brenda Sherwood. Judith’s warmth, love, and the legacy she leaves behind will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life serves as a testament to the profound impact one individual can have on those around them.
