Judith Diane Sargent, "Judy," age 76 of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Optimized Senior Living. She was born November 13, 1947 in Stanford, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Ernest and Belle Godbey.
Judy was a graduate of Sycamore High School and furthered her education at St. Francis Nursing School, achieving the title of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Judy found fulfillment in caring for others, particularly within nursing homes where she offered both expertise and empathy to the elderly. Judy then retired as a medical office manager.
A devoted member of Cincinnati Primitive Baptist Church, Judy dedicated her time and skills to various roles within the congregation. However, her greatest joy was her family. She shared a special bond with her grandchildren whom she adored and cherished. Judy's passion for family extended to creating lasting memories with her grandchildren by showering them with affection and care.
Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the love she shared. Judy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and love of desserts. She will be fondly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Judy is survived by her husband of nearly 57 years, Nick; children, Marty (Rachel) Sargent, Jolie (Mitch) Autry, Mollie (Steve) Pegram; grandchildren, Kayla (Joseph) Norris, Ben (Shayla) Autry, Daniel Sargent, Lauren Autry, Jack Pegram, Erin Autry, Riley Pegram, Luke Autry, Cooper Sargent; great grandson, Charlie Autry; brother, Tom (Mary) Godbey; brother-in-law, Ken Sargent; as well as numerous loving relatives and many friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Lois Sargent; and brother-in-law, Aaron Sargent.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at 11 am at Lebanon Cemetery on Hunter Street (416 W. Silver Street, Lebanon, OH 45036).
