Judy Hagerty Fradl, lovingly remembered as mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished member of the Holy Family congregation, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025 at the age of 86. She was born in Mingo Junction, Ohio and was a resident of Dayton for more than 60 years.
Judy is survived by her children, Joseph, Daniel, Mary, Diane, and Mark; daughter-in-laws, Kay and Patsy; son-in-law, Eric; grandchildren, Johny, Dustin, Mina, Ali, April, Max, Isabel and Aiden; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary and Bernie; and her best friend Tilly.
She was preceded in death by husband, Edward and son, Pete.
Judy Fradl was an unwavering support for her children and grandchildren, devoted without conditions or expectations, even late in life taking on the challenging role of caretaker (once again) for her son, Peter, following his stroke. A remarkable seamstress, she devoted over 40 years of her life to creating beautiful priest vestments for the Traditional Roman Catholic Church she was so passionate about.
Judy’s legacy is the lives she touched and the spirit of compassion she inspired.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you extend a little extra kindness and consideration to others, especially the disadvantaged and immigrants (a cause championed by her longtime friend, Father Hall).
A Latin Requiem Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, 2/14/25 at Holy Family Catholic Church (140 North Findlay, Dayton).
There will be a graveside service at 1:00pm on Tuesday, 2/18/25 at Dayton National Cemetery (4400 West Third St, Dayton), where she will be interred next to her husband.
