Feigl, Judith Kniess/Hackman
Age 68
Judy Kniess Hackman Feigl succumbed to her 10+ year battle w/Bensons Syndrome 6/7/2023.
She is preceded in death way too early by the love of her life John Hackman,
parents, Robert and Patricia Kniess, in-law's Richard and Mary Hackman
and brother- in -law Larry King.
She is survived by her brothers John Kniess (Cathy) Robert Kniess (Ann)
Sister Libby King and 8 nieces and nephews who she adored, along with her sister in law Kathy
Halsey (Bob), Dick Hackman(Terri) and Carolyn Mack(Joe)
She will be missed by her many dear friends in the Charlotte, NC area who stayed in touch
sending cards, gifts and their prayers when she moved back to Dayton.
Judy lived in Charlotte, NC and surrounding communities for 40 years where she
worked as a periodontal hygienist and realtor. She was active w/ Davidson United Methodist Church
in Davidson N.C. and traveled to Lithuania on more than one occasion to provide dental
services to the less fortunate there . She loved animals and volunteered for many dog and cat rescue
programs, fostering and securing homes for hundreds of abandoned animals.
She had a myriad of hobbies including, but not limited to, extensive traveling, quilting,
collecting art, boating, landscaping and especially entertaining family and friends.
She even liked to play the slots on an occasion or two.
Her spirited fight with Benson's syndrome will be missed, She will be interred at
Calvary Cemetery in Dayton with John and her savior rescue dog Wally.
No funeral services will be held.
In a celebration of Judy's life please have a sip of Miller Light and a piece of candy
(preferably Esther Price, her favorite)
In her memory, we recommend donations in Judy's name to the Alzheimer's Association or any pet/
animal rescue organization of your choice.
