Judith Jan Bulcher, age 72 of Kettering, OH went to be with the Lord on Monday October 22, 2012 in Dayton, OH.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Auxier and Reva Vance; brother, Merle and sister, Jacqueline.
She is survived by her 4 sons who loved her so very much, Thomas "Tom" J. Bulcher; Anthony "Tony" D. (Cheryl L.) Bulcher, Timothy "Tim" A. (Amy) Bulcher, and Thaddeus "Thad" M. Bulcher; grandchildren, T.J. Bulcher, Shane (Jane) Bulcher, Stacia Poff, Jeremy (Katie) Poff, Ryan Bulcher, Hannah Bulcher, and Jenna Bulcher; sisters, Maxine Morris and Joan Lipps; brother, Gary (Carol) Vance; and numerous loving nieces and nephews, including her special niece: Vonda Morris.
Judy was born in Woodway, VA on November 3, 1939. She later moved to Dayton, OH and graduated from Stivers High School in 1958. She worked at General Motors, Delco-Moraine, where she retired in 1999. Judy was very active in the Union serving in many leadership positions. She single handedly raised 4 teenage sons while working at GM. She dedicated her live to her sons and later to her grandchildren as well. She loved simple things in life, a cup of coffee and conversations at the breakfast table, a good game of Aggravation and especially family gatherings like cook-outs and the holidays where she could bask in the love of her family and she loved reading her Bible. Judy was an outgoing lady who never met a stranger. She touched many people's lives and never hesitated to help someone in need. Although she is gone to Heaven, she will be sorely missed and always in our hearts.
Visitation is Thursday October 25, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm with funeral service on Friday October 26, 2012 at 10am at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Dayton. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of Dayton for their care and support in her final days.
