Judith A. Peters

Judith A. Kesselring Peters was born on June 20, 1942, in Belleville, OH. She lived in several different states: OH, WV, KY, IL, and back to OH where she lived at Otterbein Retirement Community. She enjoyed living at Otterbein where she had previously served a volunteer. She graduated from North Central College in Naperville, IL. Judy taught school in both Ohio and Illinois and worked for several years for JC Penney's and Unocal. She was active in the Arlington Heights United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and play handbells. On March 11, 2010, Judy passed on to be with those who went before her – her loving parents, Jean and Harold Kesselring, formerly of Middletown, and friend Howard McElhose. She is survived by her sisters, Nancy Kesselring (Pat Fanning) of Graton, CA, Jan Barrett (Gary) of McMillan, MI, Ricki Mitchell (Rev. Joe) of Sturgeon Bay, WI, and six nieces and nephews, Kendra Barrett Gohr (Adam) Larkin Barrett Kinsella (Jack), Michael Fanning, Ben, Charis, and Grace Mitchell, and grandnephew, Owen and grandniece Annabelle. Judy will be missed by many whose lives she has touched. Memorial services were held March 26, 2010 at Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Community. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Otterbein Benevolent Fund or Otterbein Music Program, c/o Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Community, 585 N. State Rte. 741, Lebanon, OH 45036. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) Kettering.
