Juanita J. Mundy

Juanita Jane Mundy, of Vandalia, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023, at the age of 89. Born in Powellton, WV, Juanita was one of 11 children. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifton; parents, Arnett and Altha Atha; sisters: Carol McDonald and Margaret Pack; brothers: Arnett Jr., Roy, Harold, Bob, Jarrell, and Lonnie Atha; and her son, Robert "Bobby" Mundy.

She is survived by her sister, Glenna Nichols of Oak Hill, WV; brother, George Atha of Deepwater, WV; children: Randy Mundy of Deepwater, WV, Terri Kingery of Middletown, OH, Clifton Jr., of West Milton, OH, Lora Volk of Vandalia, OH and Brenda Howard of Vandalia, OH; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The consummate grandmother, she was always available for her grandchildren and went by the endearing name of "Mamaw" to not only her family, but many who knew her. She was always there with a hug and a big breakfast on the table. She showed her love by making sure no one left Mamaw's house hungry...not even a little bit.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH.

A graveside service will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel at Montgomery Memorial Park Cemetery in London, WV at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 17, 2023.
