Joyce Ryan

Joyce Ryan, age 101, was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 5, 2023. She was born October 11, 1922 to the late Leo and Ruth Gelhaus. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Jane Sprang, beloved husband of 63 years, John Ryan; and three children, John, Jerry, and Susan Ryan.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Robert) Bledsoe; grandchildren, John (Crystal) Ryan, Sean (Elizabeth) Ryan, Timothy Ryan, Bryan (Genia) Bledsoe, and Brenna (Robbie) Crowe; great-great grandchildren, Xavier Ryan, Graidy Ryan, Riley, Hailey Ryan, McKenna (Bo) McIntire, Luke Bledsoe, Shelby (Dakota) Williams, Jenna Crowe, Trinity (Easton) Canode. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 11:30 on December 18, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439). Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon at St. Albert the Great Catholic Parish (3033 Far Hills Ave, Kettering, OH 45429). Joyce will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery (4400 W Third St, Dayton, OH 45428) alongside her husband, John.
