Joyce Ann Pollitt

Joyce Ann Pollitt, age 74, tranquilly went home to be with the Lord after a brief battle with cancer on November 20, 2016 in Fairborn, Ohio. She was born in Norwood, Ohio to James and June Pollitt on June 29, 1942, who preceded her in death as well as her infant brother, William.
She left behind her brothers, Richard (Suzanne) Pollitt and Donald (Tricia) Pollitt, nephews DJ (Trang) Pollitt and Brian Pollitt, nieces Debbie (John) Kroeker, Michelle (Darrell) Pepper, Jackie Pollitt and Emily Schmitt as well as Great-Nephews and Great-Nieces Evan, Alex, Erin and Breanne Kroeker, Deja and DeAndre Pollitt, Isaiah and Elijah Pepper, Kayla and Taylor Pollitt and Uriah Schmitt. She also left behind a very dear friend, Fred Jenkins, who shared many special times with her. Special thanks to Faye Ledwick, a friend who was often there to give Joyce a helping hand.
Joyce dedicated 30 years of her life to Kittyhawk Child Development Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base taking care of her "babies" and earning various service awards for her dedication to them. Along with her parents, Joyce was active with the Power Packer CB Club, where she fittingly attained the handle "Lady Joy".
Joyce's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Dayspring Nursing Center, Hospice of Miami Valley and Newcomer Funeral Home. Her family will have the memorial service and interment at their convenience.
