Joyce Adele Osborne, age 86 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Heartland of Beavercreek. She was born September 14, 1934 in Wheelwright, Kentucky to the late and Lena and Jacob Russell.
Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished all the time she could spend with her family. In Kentucky, she lived and worked on the farm until she and Glenis moved to Dayton. There, she worked as an STNA for local nursing homes. Joyce enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, Hallmark movies and the Golden Girls. She will be fondly remembered for her personality and love for her family.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Glenis Osborne; siblings, Eleanor Russell, Louis Russell, Henry Best, Jeanette Cates, Geraldine Lucas and Patsy Scarberry.
Joyce will be missed by her loving children, Karen (Donald) Achs and Michael Osborne; grandchildren, Tanya (Edsel) Smith, Erica Osborne, Marlena Achs (Nikolas Marsh), and Jacob (Keli) Achs all of Dayton and Miranda (Joey) Eggers of Jackson, Ohio; great grandchildren, Isabelle Rose Lemaster, Samantha Jo Newport, Gabriel Wilson, Dominick Marsh, Tessa Paige Achs and Levi Bennett Achs; sisters, Marlene Sexton and Sherry Atwood; a multitude of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, November 20, 2020 from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The State of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face mask will be worn in all public places.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joyce's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
