Joyce Marie Haas

Joyce Marie Haas, age 90 of Fairborn, Ohio passed away March 10, 2022. She was born December 16, 1931 in St. James, Louisiana daughter of the late Aurelien and Alice Tauzin.
Joyce was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a devoted Catholic and was known for her extroverted personality, quick wit, and attention to detail.
She had a passion for playing Tennis at Virgina Hollinger Tennis Club in Oakwood, Ohio and Fiddlesticks Tennis Club in Fort Myers, Florida until the age of 80. Joyce was a graduate of Sinclair Community College. She retired from Dayton Public Schools after 20 years of service in Accounting. She enjoyed playing cards, where she loved playing Bridge with her neighbors.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wickshire Fairborn and Hospice of Miami Valley who treated Joyce with love and like family.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Trice Walter "Wally" Haas; sons, Mark Anthony Haas and Mathew Walter Haas; grandson, Andrew Haas; sisters, Elaine (Don) Ritchie and Inez Boydston; and brother, Earl Tauzin.
Joyce is survived by her children, Ann (Jerry) Gibson (Dayton, OH), Mike (Silvia) Haas (Eaton OH), and Andrea Haas (Fullerton CA); her Grand Children, Jonathan Gibson (Beavercreek OH), Christina Gibson (Kettering, OH), Catherine (Zac) Phillips (Fairborn, OH), Nicole (Wade) Paroz (Cincinnati OH); her Great Grand Children, Giovanna Ignozzi (Centerville, OH), Hannah Gross (Kettering, OH); Bryce Andre' Paroz and Elliott Michael Paroz (Cincinnati, OH); as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 2-3pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). A Celebration of Life will begin at 3pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241 (I75 Exit 205).
