Joyce A. DeBoard, a generous and nurturing spirit, was born on October 2, 1948, in Greeneville, Tennessee. She departed this world on November 16, 2024, in Beavercreek, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched many lives.
Joyce was deeply involved in her community, proudly serving as a member of the Medlake Lions Club, where her dedication to helping others shone brightly. She was known for her warmth and willingness to lend a hand, particularly through her passion for babysitting and crocheting, hobbies that reflected her caring nature and creative spirit.
Joyce is survived by her devoted daughter, Hailey Adelaide, and her cherished grandchildren, Katelyn DeBoard, Lacy (Jewel) Haller, Ella Clayborn, Ava Clayborn, and Elijah DeBoard. She held a special place in her heart for her honorary grandchildren, Gemma, Adler, Bexley, and Kharvr. Joyce also leaves behind her loving brother, Terry (Wanda Cates) Brown; her nieces, Tara Clayborn and Tiffany Jones; her great-niece, Madison Caldwell; her great-great-niece, Kinsley Wells; her great-great-nephew, Cooper Wells; and her cousins, Janice (Jerry) Fillers, Connie Babb, and Ray (Gwinn) Dixon.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William Brown and Gladys Allen, her husband, Bill DeBoard, her sister, Judy Brown, Winona Babb (aunt); and her great-aunt, Anna DeBoard. Each of these individuals played a significant role in her life, and their memories will be cherished by those who knew and loved Joyce.
Joyce A. DeBoard will be remembered for her generous heart, her commitment to her family, and her ability to bring joy to the lives of those around her. Her legacy will continue through the love she shared and the countless lives she touched throughout her journey in life.
