Joyce Eileen Alley

Joyce Eileen Alley, 72, of Dayton, passed away November 30, 2016. Joyce was born in Dayton on November 15, 1944 to the late George and Edna Alley. Joyce retired from Dayton Daily News/Cox Media after more than 40 years of service. She ran a singles ministry called "Singles and Mingles". She attended Bethel Christian Assembly of God for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed reading her bible, ministering to people, collecting hot air balloons, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Ann Alley.

She is survived by her sisters, Verna Alley, Mary Alley; brother, George (Bertha) Alley, Jr.; niece, Christy (Dave) Kretzer; nephew, Brian Alley; great niece, MacKenzie Kretzer; great nephew, Cody Kretzer; and several other relatives and special friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 5pm – 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:30am at Bethel Christian Assembly of God, 327 South Smithville Road, Dayton with Pastor Ron Houser officiating. Burial at Dayton Memorial Park.
