Joy A. Bond, age 72 of Xenia, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born October 27, 1946 in Wilmington, Ohio the daughter of George Emmett and Ruth Anna Bond.
She is preceded in death by her parents; step-father William J. Gallagher; grandparents, Mossie and Orville Bond, Edith and Clem Gray.
Joy was a loving, caring woman who always put everyone before herself and had their best interest at heart. She was a fighter. She was a role model. Being a grandmother was one of the greatest joys of her life.
Joy is survived by her life partner of 25 years, Phillip W. Paynter; stepson, Jeremy Paynter, daughter-In-Law, Charity Paynter; grandchildren Kaine Paynter, Ashley Mumpower and Bridget Mumpower; great grandchild, Acacia Starr Almashy. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Special thanks to Hospice of Dayton for their excellent care of Joy. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in Joy's name.
Memorial Service will be held at May 30, 2019 at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be May 30, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm also at the funeral home.
