Joshua Christopher Lightcap

Joshua Christopher Lightcap, age 38, of Dayton passed away on April 24, 2023. He was born in Dayton on November 6, 1984 to Randy and Brenda Lightcap. Joshua is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sammie Smith, Laura Goad, Raymond Goad and Deanna Ritchie.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Randy and Brenda; sister, Sarah Frost; niece, Elizabeth Frost; nephew, Ezekiel Carroll; grandparents, Earl (Elizabeth) Lightcap; as well as many family and friends.

Joshua was a member of Haynes Street Church of Christ. He graduated from West Hills High School in Santee, California in 2003. Joshua loved to play sports; especially wheelchair rugby and basketball. He was MVP and captain of his sports teams. Joshua had wonderful times on the beach and fishing in the ocean with his dad. Joshua had an amazing laugh and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Newcomer Kettering, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Memorial service will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Service to be officiated by Marvin Eades.
