Josephus Wright "Joe" of Dayton passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016. He was born October 2, 1920 to the late Prilly Z. and Julia (Andrews) Wright, Sr. Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, Luther, Prilly Z. Jr., David, Lee, Lewis, Sampson, Lester and Dura Wright; sisters, Iula Amos and Julia Horton.
Joe worked at GHR Foundry and served his country in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Joe's Income Tax Service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ridgewood Heights, Harmony Lodge #77, Prince Hall Mason and Amer Temple 107.
Joe is survived by his very close and devoted niece, Patricia (Wright) Dunson. He was a great and wonderful uncle to many other nieces and nephews and a generous cousin and friend. His love and memory will forever live in our hearts.
Graveside service is Friday, July 8, 2016, 3:00 p.m., at Dayton National Cemetery.
