Josephine Laura Van Minnen

VAN MINNEN, Josephine Laura, age 86, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully Friday, August 8, 2008. She was born July 22, 1922 in London, England. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and gracious friend to all who knew her. Her beautiful friendly smiling face and bright personality will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children Roy (Karen), Laura (Curt), Carmen (Scott), Dan (Mary), Dina (David), and Marlena (Robert); grandchildren Chris, Jon, Chad, Danielle, Brianna, Carmit, and Anne-Marie; great-grandchildren Jacob, Joseph, Riley, and Sam; and sister Lily Jesonowski. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering). The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society, Trinity Community of Beavercreek, or Hospice of Dayton. The family would like to thank the nurses at Trinity; Opal Phillips, Jennifer Wilson, Jayne Rempes, and Anna Page. We would also like to thank the caregivers; Kelsey Moffitt, Toya Knick, Morgan Franz, Teresa Daughtery, Jane Jones, Shirley Beem, and Shirley Gress.
