Flitton, Josephine D., age 80, of West Carrollton, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Josephine was born September 23, 1932 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Julius Lark Daugherty & Pearl (Martin) Cole.
Josephine was a loving and devoted mom and sister who enjoyed life to its fullest, including doing her jig saw puzzles and word search. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Josephine is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: Beverly Boyd Carlin & Phyllis (Doug) Gray; sister: Ruby Gilliam; special friend: Alice Gray; and numerous other family members and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children: Russell Boyd; her husband: Lee Flitton; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. with Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in West Carrollton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Josephine.
