Josephine Beaver

Josephine Beaver, lovingly known as Jo, of Dayton, passed away on March 4, 2023. She was born on May 6, 1937 in Trabia, Sicily in Italy to the late Gioacchino and Rosanna Vivirito.

She loved flowers and gardening. She enjoyed vacationing in Las Vegas, where she was given the nickname Lil Fry Rye. Most of all, she loved her family and her grandchildren. She also loved her dogs, Blue, Molly, Little Bear, and Buster.

In addition to her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Arthur David Beaver Jr.; her brothers, Antonio Vivirito and Diego Vivirito; and her sisters, Antonia Vivirito and Rosetta Vivirito.

She will be remembered by her children: Kathy (Jerry) Frazier, Debra Norris, and Teresa (Tim Irven) Wells; her grandchildren: Julia Webb, Glenn "Alan" Baber, Cheri Westley, David Baber, Christopher Baber, Ashleigh Frazier, Michael Frazier, Daniel Rowland, Anthony Norris, Alexys Wells and Codey Wells; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Joseph Vivirito and Rosalee Smith; and many extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, Ohio, where her funeral service will begin the following day, Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 12:00pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest with Arthur at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
