Josephine Amatulli

Josephine M. Amatulli, 87, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017. Josephine was the daughter of the late Frank and Palma Arci. Josephine was the devoted wife to Joseph P. Amatulli. They were married 63 years.

Josephine is survived by her Daughter, Beverly (Emerson) Lightner, Grandson, Justin Lightner and Sister-In-Law, Malou Arch. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her son Daniel; brothers, Anthony Arci (Juliet) of Beavercreek, Nicolas Arci of Dayton and James Caprul (Jean) of Beavercreek and sisters Rose Griffith (Thomas) of Kettering and Victoria (George) Barnes of Dayton and her niece Vicky Shelton.

Josephine was a member of the Dayton Catholic Women's Club, Shamrock Athletic Club and Alter Rosary Society. She enjoyed having family parties, music, dancing, and celebrating with special friends. Her smile brought happiness to all who knew and loved her.

Calling hours will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio on Sunday June 18, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held Monday June 19, 2017 at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Entombment will follow the service at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Immaculate Conception Parish.
