Joseph W. Brodowski, age 93, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Sterling House of Beavecreek. He was born March 24, 1921 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Joseph and Laverna Brodowski.
He served our country and protected our freedom in the United Sates Army during WWII. Joseph was a member of the Milton Club, Am Vets in Kettering, Lions Club and sang in the Fairfield Choraliers and St. Anthony's Church Choir.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Joyce Brodowski; sisters, Leona Griffin, Rita Brodowski and brother, Richard Brodowski.
Joseph is survived by two sisters, Florence Schock and Mary Joanne Hester; brother, Robert C. (Eleanor) Brodowski and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, God Children and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 830 Bowen St, Dayton, OH 45410. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
