ULRICH, Joseph L., Sr.

75 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Wood Glen Nursing Center. Joseph was born February 17, 1929, the son of Lawrence and Magdeline Ulrich. He graduated from Chaminade, class of 1947. He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Joseph was a member of the local Union #82 IBEW for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, June Ulrich (nee Whalen); children, Teresa Traylor, Joseph (Ronda) Ulrich, Jr., Steven Ulrich and Brian Ulrich; brothers, Robert (Lois) Ulrich, Lawrence Ulrich and Fr. James Ulrich; grandchildren, Jessica, Candice, Tracy, Erica, and Jami; great grandson, Cameron; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Fr. John Ulrich. Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry Parish, 6696 Springboro Pike, Dayton. Interment following in Dayton National Cemetery. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Wood Glen Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton and Dr. John Johnson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Joseph's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
