TOROK, Joseph
Age 73 of Dayton, passed at home, Dec. 5, 2009.
Joe was born to George & Mary Torok on Dec. 20, 1935. His parents were born in Budapest, Hungary and came to the US in the early 1920's. Joe was the youngest of five children.
Joe was employed as steelworker and a Teamsters Local 957 member for over 32 years. Joe fought many illnesses though the years with courage and dignity. He never complained or lost his faith. He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1958-1960. Joe was a loving & kind family man who enjoyed fishing, was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, & adored his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents & brothers George Torok, Jr., & Errnie Torok.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jacqueline; children Mary Melissa, Terri & husband Raymond, Tami, Johnny, & Kenny; grandchildren Jami, Jacqueline, Jessica, Brandon, Lindsay, Abigail, & Skylar; great-grandchild, Da'Jah; sisters Irene & Mary and her husband Dave Lilley; & many other relatives.
Services will be held, 1pm, Wed. Dec. 9 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton where visitation will be held from 12-1pm on Wed. Interment to follow Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. James Laws, Dr. Kevin Reid, & Hospice of Dayton for their care and compassion for Joe through the years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Dayton.
