Joseph "Ed" Terranova, age 82, of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Oak Creek Terrace.
He was born October 29, 1936 in Redwood City, CA, son of the late Joseph & Mary Catherine Terranova (Coleman) and raised by his mother's extended family in Bellefontaine, OH.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Nancy Terranova (Blocher) and sister, Mary Jo McGinnis.
Ed is survived by his sons, Ron & wife Lisa and Mike & wife Kristen; grandchildren, Sarah, Eric, Coleman, and Owen.
Ed was a 1954 graduate of Fairmont High School and briefly attended The Ohio State University. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force. Ed was a craftsman that enjoyed working with his hands. Hobbies included drag racing and cars, designing signs, golf, and woodworking.
Family will receive guests from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Monday, November 19, 2018 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dayton. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 am also at the church and officiated by Pastor John Mittermaier.
