Joseph Taylor

Joseph A. Taylor, age 71 of Covington, passed away May 23, 2011. He was born December 30, 1939 in Pleasant Hill, Ohio to the late Elsworth and Evelyn Taylor. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Newton-Taylor; son, David Joseph Taylor; brothers: Orville, Herman and James Taylor; sisters: Bessie, Freda and Bernice Taylor.

Joe is survived by his children: Jennie Taylor, Colby Taylor and Randy Taylor; 9 grandchildren: John, Ben (Jennifer), Jessica, Katilyn, Meghann, Kaleb, Britnie, Lauren and Riley; girlfriend, Suzann Mitchell; brothers: William, Paul and Phillip Taylor; sisters: June Rudy, Doris High, Mary Holfinger, Janice Miller, Marcia Shuman, Emma Shuman, Becky Richardson, and Susan Ross; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Joe was a member of the Washington Court House Masonic Lodge and Kiwanis, the Troy Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of Pathways Baptist Church in Huber Heights. He loved fishing, riding his scooter and creating projects in his workshop. Most of all, Joe loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday.
