Joseph A. Rockwell, "Rocky", age 58, of Dayton, passed away in hospice care on November 6, 2021. Joe was born on April 20, 1963 to the late John and Patricia Rockwell.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Cyril Rockwell; brother, John D. Rockwell; and nephew, David I. Rockwell.
Joe's memory will be cherished by his children: Joseph W. Rockwell, Walter Locke, Heather Rockwell; grandchildren, Antonio, Stephen, Seth, Sebastian, Gage, Ryder, Conner, and Payton; great-granddaughter, Violet; siblings, Rachel Abraham and Tonya Rockwell; half-sisters, Johnna and Tina Rockwell; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Joe (Rocky) was a master in mechanics. He loved guns, fishing, and classic cars. A 13 year Navy Veteran, grateful war survivor, and most of all, a proud father. He was a strong man, one who loved deep and loved many. He was always the first to be there to help anyone in need.
A visitation will be held from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30pm. Following the service, Joe will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery.
