Joseph Raymond Renner Sr.,World War II Veteran, Age 91, born in Dayton, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
Joe "Ray" spent the last 12 years residing in Sarasota, FL, Fair Oaks, CA and Dayton, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Vance Renner; his parents, Glen L. and Mildred Sortman Renner; his brother, Glenn Renner; and his sister, Jean Towry.
He is survived by his three children, Marti (Paul) Gohring, Julie (Gary) Gayhart, and Joseph R. Renner Jr.; sisters-in-law, Margaret Newcomer Renner and Patricia Myrna Vance; his 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Joe "Ray" was an avid fisherman and after retiring from Bendix Corporation (1979) moved to Florida and spent many days fishing and playing bingo with his wife Doris. He loved his family and spent as much time as he could with them in Ohio, Florida, and California.
A memorial mass will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH 45371). Friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
