Joseph B. Overholser, Sr.

Joseph B. Overholser, Sr., age 70 of Butler Township, passed away August 17, 2017 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 22, 1947 in Greenville, OH to the late Joseph Elton and Mary Viola (Reck) Overholser. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his son, Mark Tannreuther.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Overholser (Weese); children, Scott (Michael) Colford, Candi (Gradie) Mitchem, Donnita (Paul) Gehm and Joey (Dawn) Overholser, II; grandchildren, Gradie II, Sarah, AJ, Dustin, Clayton, Kolton, Remington, Bryan, Tyler and Lacey; great-grandson, Jareth Jordan; brothers, Jerry (Barb) and Craig (Cheryl) Overholser; nieces, extended family and friends.
Joe worked and retired from General Motors Needmore Rd. plant after 30 years of service. After retirement, Joe started his own handyman business which he thoroughly enjoyed. Joe's main love and passion was spending time with his family.
Family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. A funeral service will begin at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 29 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, OH.
