Joseph Oswald

Joseph Leo "Breeze" Oswald, age 50, passed away on 02/18/2015 after a short and unexpected battle with cancer. He was born on December 4, 1964 to John and Nancy Oswald who survive him. Joe leaves to cherish his memory, long-time partner Debra Hager, her daughter Christy (Joshua), Debra's granddaughter Alyssa whom Joe absolutely adored and his faithful canine companions, Misti and Lucy. He will be terribly missed by his big brother Kelly Oswald, sisters Robin (Greg) Shope, Beth (Mark) Widdowson and Molly (Mark) Howell; nieces and nephews, Emily, Sarah, Kristen, Alex, Andrew, Adam, Ashley (Joshua), Sean (Claire), Joshua, Jacob, Bryce and Chase. They will fondly remember Uncle Grump's antics and stories of the "China Man" in the sewer. Joe is survived, too, by a great niece, Elle. He was employed by Cassidy Woodworks who were so very supportive through his battle. He was preceded in death by his best friend Craig Flynn. He loved working in the yard, growing and preserving vegetables. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek, Ohio from 2pm-4pm with a funeral service to follow on Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10am. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
