Joseph W. Kobus Jr., "Joe Joe,", age 53 of Dayton, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020. He was born August 9, 1966 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Joseph Kobus and Shirley Ritter.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley J. Kobus; grandparents, Martha and Joseph Kobus, Homer Ritter and Thelma (Raymond) Muchmore; and uncle, Mike Ritter.
Joe Joe is survived by his daughters, Sarah (Alex) Cole, Jennifer Kobus; brother, Mark Kobus; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Stephanie, Zach, Corbin, Abby, Kalyn and Owen; father, Joseph W. Kobus Sr., aunts and uncles, Steve Ritter, Susan Calhoun, Sherry (Darryl) Davis, Raymond Muchmore, Amy (Michael) Holbert, Debbie Muchmore; special nephews, Adam Kobus and Austin Sargent; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Joe Joe was a great mechanic and was always willing to help family and friends with their cars. He had a great sense of humor and never knew a stranger. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff at both Pinnacle Point and The Laurels of Huber Heights for their compassion and care.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
