Joseph "Joe" Ater

Joseph "Joe" Ater, 64, of Springboro, OH passed away Monday December 12, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pearrill Ater and Gladys Massie; and brothers, Gene and Cary Ater. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Cyndie Ater; brother, William (Paula) Ater; sister-in-law, Saron (Don) McLaughin; half-brother, Mark (Rhonda) Massie; many nieces and nephews; and special dogs, Cosmo and Mya. Joe liked to fish, loved gardening, was an avid collector, and retired medically after 32 years of service from Monarch Marking.

Visitation is Friday December 16, 2011 from 1pm to 2pm with funeral service starting at 2pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH. Pastor Michael G. Hout is officiating.
