Joseph Jennings

Joseph R. Jennings, age 90 of Trotwood, passed away April 1, 2015 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born August 13, 1924 in Greene County, OH to the late Alfred and Gertrude Jennings. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Janet M. (Hoelle) Jennings; son, Jack Jennings; brother, Al Jennings; and sister, Betty Jennings.

Joe is survived by his children: Cheri (Joe) Cetone, Rick (Carla) Jennings and Bonnie Walker; grandchildren: Terra, Holly and Jeremy Trapp and Jonathon Jennings; and great-grandchildren: Tristan and Jacob. He is also survived by the many members of the Hoelle family.

Joe retired from Chrysler Corporation after 43 years of service as a Tool and Die Maker. He was past president of the Miami Valley Wally Byam Airstream Club and was a former little league baseball coach. After retirement, Joe and his wife, Janet went on 22 cruises.

A prayer service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, where the family will receive family and friends for two hours prior to the service, from 9-11 am. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joe's memory to a charity of your choice.
