Joseph Allen Hood "Joe"

Joseph Allen Hood "Joe", age 58 of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his home. He was born on August 15, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Jack and Tanya Hood. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by Willam Douglas Hood and James Hood.

Joe is survived by his four daughters, Taylor Hood, Briana Hood, Nichole Hood, and Brooke Milthaler-Powers; four grandchildren, Jaxon Gray-Lott, Ava Hass, Colton Hass, and Adrianna Avila; two siblings, Jeff Hood and John Hood. Joe is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Joe enjoyed music, playing guitar, computers, bowling, reading sci-fi novels, camping and movies. He was caring, kind, goofy and found humor in all things. The most important thing to Joe was his family, rock and roll concerts, time with friends and reminiscing on memories. Joe is well loved and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. His enormous heart and warm spirit inspired everyone around him.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home-Kettering Chapel located at 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, Ohio 45439. Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Joel Getts following the visitation at 11:00 am.
