Joseph S. Hilliard, Sr.
August 24, 1960 — March 11, 2022
Joseph S. Hilliard, Sr. "Joe", age 61 of Morrow, passed away March 11, 2022 at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center. He was born August 24, 1960 in Cincinnati to the late John Sr. and Emogene (Wallace) Hilliard. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Lajuana "Lou" Hilliard.
He is survived by his children, Melissa (Brad) Van Natta and Joseph "Shane" Hilliard, Jr.; grandchildren, Ian and Morgan Baxter, Vincent Van Natta, Autumn and Titus Hilliard; brother, John (Karen) Hilliard, Jr. and Jamie Hilliard; numerous extended family and dear friends.
Joe adored motorcycles and was extremely proud to have served in the U.S. Army. He loved his family dearly and tried to live his life to the fullest and follow all of God's teachings.
A graveside service with military honors will begin at 1 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Dayton National Cemetery. Following the graveside service a gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-3 PM on Wednesday, March 23 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, 45459).
