Joseph W. Bruns

Joseph William Bruns, age 69 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at the Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 20, 1949 in Wapakoneta, Ohio to the late Leo and Helen Bruns.
Joe served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an avid University of Dayton Flyers basketball fan, Cincinnati Reds fan, and enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Bruns.
Joe was a loving father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family. He will be missed by his loving children, Edward Bruns, Patricia (Mark) Bruns Plavko and John Bruns; three granddaughters, Katelynn Bruns, Jillian Bruns and Madeline Bruns; brother, James (Mary Sue) Bruns; and sisters, Rosie (Bruce) Henderson and Carol Bruns.
Family will receive friends Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joe's memory to the National Kidney Foundation.
