Joseph Bova

BOVA, Joseph Jr., age 82, of Miami Township, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2008. He was born February 3, 1926 to the late Joseph Sr. & Anna Marie Bova. Joseph served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy where he earned the Purple Heart Medal. He was a manager at NCR where he retired. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Ruth Bova; 2 brothers Nicholas & Jerome; and 1 sister Mary. He is survived by his son Michael (Nancy) Bova; daughter Janice (Maggie) Evans; 3 grandchildren Karen, Ann, and Carolyn; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters Anna Mae & Nita. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2008 from 5-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd.) The Funeral service will be Friday, August 8, 2008 at 10:00am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice (One Elizabeth Place Dayton, OH 45408).
