Joseph B. Rose

ROSE, Joseph B., age 92, of Beavercreek, passed away at Hospice of Dayton, Friday, January 30, 2009. He was born July 12, 1916 in Dayton, OH, the son of Joseph and Philomena (Seitz) Rose. He was a veteran of the United States Army, he was a Captain with the Beavercreek Fire Dept., and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife 68 years, Eileen Rose; children, Donald, Kathleen, Gerald, and Lois; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elvira Goldschmidit and Mary Rita Malott. He was preceded in death by both parents; one brother, Arnold; one sister, Dolores. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, February 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Donations may be made to the following organizations, Beavercreek Fire Dept. and The Beavercreek Senior Center.
