Joseph Bernard Rhea, age 67 of Wauchula, Florida and long time resident of Dayton, Ohio passed away on October 12, 2007 due to complications during surgery. Joe was born on January 7, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda this year, by parents, Joe and Bernadette Rhea, and sister, Barbara McNabb. He is survived by his son, Joseph A. Rhea of Wilmington, Delaware, and wife, Pam and grandchildren Jessica, Adam, and Rachel: and son, Michael J. Rhea of Beavercreek, Ohio and his wife Lynn and grandson Joshua, brothers and sisters, Tom and Kathy Rhea, Ed and Vicki Rhea, Bill and Lavelle Rhea, Richard and Linda Rhea, Jim and Marylou Rhea, John and Sue Rhea, and Rita Watts, and their respective families. Joe was a long time member of St. Helen's Catholic Church. He was a proud US Marine Corps veteran, a former Montgomery County Sheriffs Deputy, a member of the Pipefitters Local 162, and a member of the Elks. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Tuesday October 16, 2007 at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 5086 Burkhardt Rd. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Monday, October 15, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel.
