Joseph A. Lauricella

LAURICELLA, Joseph A., age 89, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009. He was born November 11, 1919 in Dayton, OH, the son of Charles and Emilia (Esposito) Lauricella. He was a lifelong member of the VFW Post 9927 and veteran of the 8th Army Air Corps. He is survived by his wife, Judith Lauricella; children, Mary Lauricella, Theresa Lauricella, Vincent Lauricella, Nancy (Steven) Hixson, and Regina (Alex Ortiz) Lauricella; grandchildren, Monica, Clair, Richard, Sarah, Joseph, Heather, Tonya, Kim, June, Antonio, and Danielle; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Louis, Charles, Gracie, and Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine M. (Bent) Lauricella; both parents; siblings, Josephine, Daniel, Benjamin, James, Anthony, Annie, and Carl; great-grandchild, Breanna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with visitation 1 hour prior to time of service. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
