Jorge Alberto Arias
November 2, 1952 — February 10, 2019
Jorge Alberto Arias, age 66 of Kettering, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Sycamore Hospital, Miamisburg. He was born November 21, 1952 in Havana, Cuba to the late Elpidio and Georgina (Tamayo) Arias.
Jorge is survived by his children, Danica Motejo and Andrew Arias; siblings, Elpidio (Ermelinda) Arias and Iris (Neil) Rubin; granddaughter, Valentina and 3 nephews as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Jorge came to the United States at age 11 and lived a lot of his life in New York. He also spent a good bit of time in Miami, FL before moving to Kettering, OH. Jorge was a life-long learner, studying college courses up into his 60's and graduated from George Washington High School in NYC. He worked as a security officer for the majority of his career. His employers included Securitus and Universal Protection Service. Jorge enjoyed spending time at the beach, personal fitness, listening to music and learning.
