Jordan Lynn VanFossen, age 18 of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2019. She was born August 19, 2000 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Bobby Smith and Stephine VanFossen.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bruce VanFossen and Ron Nicely; grandmother, Theresa Smith; maternal and paternal great grandparents; uncles, Rick Lipps, Tom Lipps.
Jordan is survived by her mother, Stephine VanFossen (Darren Brown); father, Bobby Smith; brother, Bobby Smith Jr.; fiance, Trey Applegarth; grandmothers, Diana Miller, Taffy Barrett (Ted), Ann Brown; grandfathers, Silvan Smith, Bruce Miller; aunts, Cortney Campbell (Andrew), Wendy Fontenot (Wes), Amy Seeley (Brian), Cindy Smith; uncles, Bill Leonard (Tracy); cousins, Ava, Wiley, Autumn, Wesley, Trey, Foster, Brianna, Gracie, McKenzie, Maddie; future in-laws, Tammy and Scott Dilworth and Joe and Monica Applegarth; as well as many friends.
Jordan was a 2018 graduate of Butler High School. She was continuing her education at Wright State University majoring in nursing. She also volunteered with Bella Care Hospice and the YWCA. Jordan was a humble, kind, old soul. She wanted to make the world a better place. She was perfect and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 1 pm to 4 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). A Celebration of Life will begin at 4 pm.
