Jonda Ruth Palmer

Jonda R. Palmer of Xenia, OH, went home to be with her Lord, on June 11, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul & Lily Hodson; brothers, Paul Hodson of Greenville and John Hodson of Xenia; and sister, Barbara Montzel of Xenia; grandsons, Eddie Duke II of Xenia and Ronald G Wick III of Xenia and granddaughter, Rebekah Wick of Xenia.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Robert Palmer of Xenia; her children, Darryl Palmer of Florida, Jimmy and Crystal Haning of Xenia, David & Sandy Haning of Dayton, Lisa & Ronnie Wick of Xenia, Laura Haning of Xenia and Jeanie Estle of Xenia; grandchildren, Jordan Terrell, Jeremiah & Brittany Frank, Roger & Carolyn Brooks, Jeffrey Frank, Lauren Rader, Alisha Wick, Heather Rader, Jesse & Whitney Brooks, Destiny Estle, Daniel Wick, Lizzie Haning and Rachel Haning; great grandchildren, Zander Brooks, Haddie Frank, Oliver Frank, Abel Rader, Ray Easton, Jack Easton, Desiah Estle, Hadley Brooks, Naomi Frank, Josie Frank and Jubilee Frank; nephews, John & Charity Estle, Rick & Stephanie Estle; along with many great nieces and nephews.

She loved her family dearly and would do anything she possibly could for them. She was a faithful and loving wife, a devoted mother and a caring grandmother for many years. Her pride and joy were her kids and grandchildren, and she will truly be greatly missed.

Jonda went home to be with the Love of her life "Jesus" but before running to His arms, there were many, many journeys which lead up to that much longed for moment. From the time that she gave her heart to Jesus, she was involved in ministry. She started out with what her son Jimmy referred to as the "Fab 4", a group of Women Prayer Warriors which included: Herself, Sister Judy Dale, Sister Geneva Wyatt, and Sister Patsy Freelan! This "Fab 4" prayed many an intercessory prayer for so many of God's children.

Jonda started ministering in nursing homes with her husband and kids for 5 years until she was called to evangelize. It was then that Jesus began to add what she referred to as her adopted children. Children like: Dennis Brooks, James Mccoy and Janelle Burkhart, just to name a few.

Side by side, she and her son Jimmy would exhort and minister the Word of God to many. She would first "till the ground" with her family: David, Lisa, Laura, Jeanie, Johnny, Janelle, Roy, James Mccoy, and her Husband in the ministry of music and song. Then, with a heavy anointing of Holy Ghost, stand and proclaim the everlasting Gospel of Jesus Christ!

She was involved with street ministries with her nephew, Rick Estle, who along with his wife Stephanie and daughters Elizabeth and Emily, also played music and sang with her from time to time.

Jonda ministered as the Associate Pastor at Fairborn Full Gospel Tabernacle for 11 years. Alongside Pastors Jimmy & Crystal, Lizzie, Rachel, Robin Fleenor and Robert Namesake; she ministered in music and song, faithfully preached the Word of God, and prayed for so many to receive their miracle. What led her to this moment was all the training and nurturing she received from great Pastors like: Bruce Brooks, Larry Thomas, and Bill Trubee.

Jonda was truly a woman of Faith! She talked it, walked it, preached it, lived by it and finally, she died by it! Jonda finally received "Her Miracle" when Jesus spoke those powerful words, we all long to hear…My Child…Come Home! We cannot, nor would we ever bring her back but we can in fact, go to where she is! Although she will be greatly missed here, we can rest assured that she's having the time of her life there!

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Fairborn Full Gospel Tabernacle, 2528 National Road, Fairborn, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm.
