Jonathan Daniel Baker went on to the next phase of eternity on Monday night, September 24, 2018. He left behind countless people who love him, including his beloved wife Rhonda Pingleton, 3 beloved daughters: Leah Denise Harp, Jonnah Dee Baker, and Laurel Danielle Class, 2 beloved sons: Lee Harp and Zachary Class, his beloved granddaughter Chloe Elaina Harp, his beloved siblings George Baker (Kim), Matthew Jones (Faye), Christy Woodcox (William), his beloved friend and mother of his children Barbara Baker, and his beloved doggies Poppy, Joe Bob and Freddie.
Jonathan lived an abundant life of loving relationships, passion for the Lord, and joy in the big and small things. He loved with the love of the Heavenly Father, as his family and friends know well. He cheered loudly and emphatically, especially for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was incredibly well-read (and probably could have won Jeopardy, especially if the theme was Andy Griffith). He made the best french toast. A great singer, ping pong player, and, when younger, he was a very good pitcher in baseball. He was very competitive! He had a wonderful sense of humor. Jonathan loved listening to music and had an encyclopedic knowledge of both classic country and classic rock songs. Although he retired from GE Aviation in Evendale, his main vocation was empowering others. Jonathan served in addiction recovery programs and was active at Southbrook Christian Church.
Death does not have the final victory! God, grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference. One day at a time.
