Jon F. Smith, age 64 of Fairborn, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at his home. He was born October 13, 1956 in Bitburg, Germany, the son of Floyd and Wilma Smith.
He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Smith.
Jon is survived by his mother, Wilma (Roy) Crawford; son, Andrew (Laura) Smith; brother, Steven (Sandy) Smith; sister, Zella (Daniel) Mansoon; step-sons, Christopher (Aneta) Brennen, Robert Brennen; step-daughter, Tanya (Aaron) Winward; and 2 step-grandchildren.
He will be mourned by his constant companion, Pamela Tweedie, her children, Christopher (Susan) Tyrrell, Lisa (Larry) Ford, Jennifer (Nicholas) Vice, her 9 grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Chewie.
Jon is a 20-year veteran of the United States Army. After retirement, he was an over-the-road trucker. Jon enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his family.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Final resting place, Hampton National Cemetery, Virginia.
