Jon D. Grove, age 77 passed away on September 5, 2020 at 5:49 P.M. at Kettering Medical Hospital. Jon was born on February 18, 1943 in Port Clinton, Ohio, the son of Claude and Margaret (Lanham) Grove.
He married Pamela Oaf Grove on May 14, 1967 in Richmond, Indiana. Jon was in retail management, starting at S.S. Kresge in 1966. He enjoyed the Miami Valley Water Garden Society, particularly the pond tours and meeting great people along the way. He was an avid history and religion buff.
Jon is survived by his son, Sean G. Grove and wife Megan (Hill) Grove, his brother-in-law Terry A. Oaf, niece Jessie Schmidt and nephew Christopher Oaf. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Margaret Grove of Richmond, Indiana.
A celebration of life will take place from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. with service beginning at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Newcomer of Centerville. Entombment will be at the Calvary Cemetery.
Our family sends out thanks for the wonderful care in the CCU and ICU at Kettering Medical Center, especially to Jon's nurses Minju and Becca. They helped us navigate rough waters.
