LAFFEY, JOLENE, AGE 81 Passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015 while in the loving care of Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Calvin, Virginia on July 1, 1933 to the late James "Hayes" and Beatrice McKnight. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Winfred "Rex" McKnight, her Son-In-Law David Smith and Great-Granddaughter Alexis Thomas.
Jolene was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell, a job she truly loved. She made many life-long friends and retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service.
She is survived by her loving children, Kimberly Costancio (Fred Fisher) of Madeira Beach, Florida, Connie Smith of Palm Harbor, Florida, and Melissa Flores (Joe Flores) of Fairborn, Ohio; Grandchildren, Kara Thomas, Ashley Green, Jonathan Tuggle, and Anthony Costancio; great-grandchildren Justin and Jaiden Green and Christopher Thomas. She loved her niece Renae and nephews Kevin and Todd. A special thanks to her cousin and friend Karen Snodgrass and caregiver, Tonya Snyder. She leaves behind a host of loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, 2-6 p.m. at the AMVETS Post 148, 11495 Lower Valley Pike, Medway, Ohio. A graveside service will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 1 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
